Congrats on the New House Sleepy, bet you got allot of House, for cheap.
Its a really nice house. Its not really a super exspensive house for Ohio, but yes, in Ohio you get a decent house for your money. Its an nice spacious house in a nice neighborhood. If I could plop it down in Cali, it would be worth probably well over a million bucks. Crazy the difference in price in different areas... I'm paying under a third of that.

I hear you on the FL mosquitos. Here in Minnesota, they are our state bird, and Mother Nature contracts Boeing for their construction. In any event, my wife jokingly calls my setup the "Bat Cave." Ground level drive out basement under entire house, (about 35x54) with 12 ft ceiling and 12x12 overhead garage door. I back the entire rig, Van and 14ft Trailer into the cave, close the door, and hook the trailer up to shore power for charging. When I want to go to the field, I just press the button on the garage door opener, and drive the whole rig out.... charged and ready to go. My wife even supports my hobby and goes to flying events with me! What a deal, huh?

"Atomic batteries to power....Turbines to speed....Ready to move out!"

I am envious of all of you guys. When we bought our house I thought I was in the promised land. Full walkout basement 1200sf, full plumbing. Plans were dancing through my head at night. However, due to circumstances out of my control, my man cave is now occupied by my mother-in-law. So now I have 3 women (wife, MIL, daughter) in the house and no manspace whatsoever. I have been relegated to 1/2 half of a 2 car garage.

As if that wasn't bad enough, every time I turn around some of their stuff shows up in my half of the garage, I have spread the word and have taken action by throwing away anything that shows up on my work table that does not belong to me. No questions asked. I know it is a small victory, but I take them when I can.

Go to the seventh ring of hell turn right, and find my workshop.

DUDE... who pays the mortgage?
If its YOU... tell good old MIL to move over.
Start flinging balsa dust everywhere. I bet MIL rethinks her current residency!

i am VERY fortunate when it comes to working space.... my best buddy bought an old highschool and made the top few floors apts and the bottom two are full of planes. a few of us have keys to the place and we have well over 150 airplanes in there!!!!!! he owns a tool and dye company so needless to say, we have EVERYTHING we could ever need for tools!!!!!! he is the most gracious person i've met and i am forever grateful to him for the generosity he exudes!

we turned the downstairs at my new house....60x20.... into a complete sports bar with multiple plasmas, pooltable, dart machine, poker table and 18 ft bar. the ladies hang out at my place while we go to "paul's basemet" and it all works out great!!!!

My basement,,, well dig 1 foot here in Fl and you hit water. So, there is 50'X75' building. Also a couple of full scale planes there too!
