Flying Giants Addiction

Hey all,

How many of us find ourselves checking in on the site throughout the day...even during work hours....how many of our wives have ask why we are on THAT site again........how many of us have introduced our kids "who cannot yet read" to the FG site........I'm guilty on all three accounts.

So....this kinda like AA for FG addicts. Give a shout out if you fall into any of the guilty category's I've listed....or list ones of your own.

Neo, I share your problems. At first it was a necessity, had to get the site up! Now it's just to see who's gonna put the smack down or who has something new. I've tried Noflyatoll and Ho-BBY-gone, to no avial. Guess we're stuck with it! And the real bad part is the season is just getting started,,,,, more info, more vids, more pictures,,,,,,,, the wife is going to murder me!!!

Addicted????? You can't be addicted to a hobby or website.....I mean, the fact that I have violent mood swings or become depressed when I haven't flown in a while or check on this site is purely coincidental.

My wife just walked in on me while writing this post and said man what an addict, and I replied, its for the good of the people, friends and co pilots in need of advice. She agrees. Thank God shes understanding.
I wake up and check in, throughout the day ,and right before bed. I cant seem to get enough info.

Addiction, Hell Yeh and lov'n it.......

Darling I'm just answering a small question and I'll be right with you.

Been known to wake up in the small hours and sneek a peek in as well.

Oh 2:30 am and still on line. Who me!!!!!!! Come on man I'm just helping young guys who need help with this OK!!! I cant help it if the clock is 5 hours behind in Maxes locality.

Repainting a $ %^&* paint job because some guy changed the name??? Who ME!!!!!!

Come on guys this is a hobby, how can it be an addiction.

No you want to talk addiction. Sunday night we had another tornado hit our small town. Power was out. I was on the Giants when the power went out. 4 hours later the power finally came on, Damn no cable, so no internet, no Giants. (All of this while I was at work).
Next morning (still at work) Internet is back. Back to the Giants to check out what I had missed. Get home, no internet. Go all day with out my Giants fix.
Finally start calling around to friends I know that have different providers. Finally find someone that can get on line. I have to go over and visit just to check the Giants.

Stop by the house on the way from one station (no internet) to the other (cable internet.) Grab my tower (no laptop) to take to work with me. Get to work hook up the computer. First place I go is the Giants. Check the fourms, check the swap shop, check the fourms, check PM's, check the fourms, refresh the froums to make sure that no one has posted new while I was looking elswere. Now check the Vids, check the pics, check the fourms.....2 hours later. Finally check my regualr email. Back to the giants to see if anything new is there.

I don't have an addiction..... I can quit any time I want. Time to check for new posts. back later. (about a half hour)
