Thanks Max,

This thread is about the loved ones lost in a bad accident , let's keep it at that.

If there is an appropriate forum for a radio interference discussion , go start one, and lets discuss the what if's there.

God Speed , and double check your aircraft, don't let anyone distract you during pre-flight.

see ya.

The reason is because failures will happen no matter what. im not sure but for the past 25 years that ive been flying, clubs and the ama have gone out of there way to protect there investments and people. Rules regulations new radio equipment. We can arguee all points of this issue and live in fear of what may happen or come together and just simply use our heads and be as careful as possible. We are human and we will screw up. There will always be one out there we say oh crap watch him kids and don't take your eyes off that plane. My father would always point them out. We know who they are and sometimes laugh as they come so close to crashing or crash there airplane as we all watch and sometimes would by tickets to watch. Like Nascar races, do we all think people come to watch for the pure amazement of airplanes or the "BIG ONE". Theres a Robby Gordon in every club at every big flyin. So you need to listen hard to what the crowd says when an airplane goes in. They say holly crap did you see that, that was cool, i need to go see what happened to it. Iv'e heard them and im sure we all have. Im not sure this is why the "Hobby" started. We need to continue to move foward doing what we love to do with our friends watching out for eachother. This hobby was built on friendships and a common love of airplanes. I think as with all things we need to continue to figure out ways to protect ourselves, family and visitors. And like I said before I feel horrible for anyone who looses a loved one no matter where it happens,Ski slopes, bike riding, just simply driving to work, but lets keep our heads on, honor the lost, learn from mistakes and continue to enjoy this awesome hobby.
Sorry for rambling on but don't want to loose site of why I love my "Hobby".
Yes well that is just life, what you are saying. I know what you mean. I think my point was; use the safety tools that are available. No they will not keep people from dying, but maybe it will help a whole lot better than not having anything at all! But I sure feel better knowing WHEN something does happen in this nature to my plane(s), that my engine will stop and will slow enough (better than full throttle with a carbon fiber prop) and give that little amount of time to "Get out of the way" or even "Save" someone!

Also my point was so many don't use these tools available at many AMA clubs. It is a must at any RC flying event now in the US. At least I know it is for IMAA, IMAC & AMA events. Not to step on anyones toes here I am sure it is in every event racing, pylon etc..(So someone woke up). I guess it is like having an ejection seat in one of the 1 billion dollar jets that was spoke of. At least there is something to help instead of going in like the guys did in WWII. At least there is something! I do believe in the U.S. we should all do this without being told we have too to fly, ya know what I mean?

Plus you dudes are right. This is a post to say we feel for pilot, the family members and friends of the people that lost their lives that day. They have my utmost sympathy. I hate it so bad for them and the pilot.

So I must apologize. I think I am the one that started this safety thing. I am sorry I started the safety thing. I was just so upset and I guess I got on a soapbox and started to preach about the safety tool. I do apologize for that guys.

Thanks
