Guys, for those of you who didn't see it, David Shulman flew an Ultra Bandit like nobody's business!! I'm big into having the guys do LOOOOONG SLOOOOOOOW rolls. David did one from invert first. Brother Jason; "No good. I said tree line to tree line. 5 out of 10." Next time David let one eat that was the longest prettiest slow roll I've ever seen!" I'd guess it was close to a mile at around 200 mph!! I think Toro got it on vid. Longest fastest slow roll I've ever seen. And I'm talking rolling SLOOOOW!! |

Gotta agree on that one Biff. . amazing how much real estate that plane was covering, and it took FOREVER to do the roll. Next time we need to put a stop watch on it and see how long it takes. I'd probably be able to take a nap before hitting the button to stop the watch.

Not to mention that at one point when the plane was Knife edge at 200mph, the right wing tip was no more than 1 foot off the deck!! Dude rules with the JETS!! And his bro Jason ain't half bad with the propped planes.

Toro,,you better come up with a vid for that one. Even covering ground at 200 it took a long time. Best quote from Bob Violett "I was getting ready to land and watch that one!!"

Bob, I have been working with them both on the rudder coordination. It looks as if my coaching is paying off... it was slow, but not as slow as I had him doing this winter in training...

I concur with this thread entirely. David Schulmans flying during the Saturday demo was one of the best parts of the entire event. Until Nall 2006, I never had the chance to see a turbine in the air. Then later the same day, I see one of the best jet pilots in the world going balls to the wall! As my friend said, Bob should have flown seperately from Dave in that Dave's flying stole the show. |

Heck yeah, I was having fun watching Jason do the long slow roles with Trueworthys 50% pitts but then seeing David do it with the Ultra bandit that was awesome.

David is a class act and probably one of the best Jet drivers in the world! He had that thing cranked up to maximum speed and skimming the grass! Definatly one of my personal favorite Demos at the Nall!
