Hmmmm. so let me get this straight- You can't afford your motor, so you figured you would try to extract cheddar from our community, out of sympathy, to fund your project so you can fly. And as a reward, you're going to wad up (light on fire?) a .40 plane that's probably worth $300. Me crystal ball sees a beatin' comin'. Thread left open only because you kicked my ass in the photochop thread

I'm not one to shoot anyones plans down but come on man, if you can't afford something, then come to the realization that you can't afford it at this point in time, if you want it bad enough you can work your butt off to get it. When you do bust your ass for something, you will have a sense of pride and accomplishment. Learn to live with in your means. Besides your 19 right, don't blow all your money on r/c crap. I'm 20 and only have a trainer and a profile, bought everything myself, wish I had a few gassers, ect, but there are more important things right now,ie; saving money for college. Anyways, not to be mean but I really hope that you don't get any money, nothing beats all fashioned hard work. Oh, and a side note, why don't you sell the trainer instead of detroying it, just an idea. my 0.02$

Vic, sorry dude. You've got guts. Asking for people to fund your big money projects. Yes I know that there are quite a few sponsered pilots. But these people have put in the time and dedication to gain the attention of compaines that believe they can promote their products. To post a request like this is not much different than begging on a street corner. Hell, you would probally do better there. Most of the pilots in the RC community have worked hard to earn the money for their addiction things that fly. Yes, Many in the hobby will help people new to the hobby getting started, but not with giant scale. I currently have a 27% plane that took my Christmas bonus from work and every extra cent left after bills for 4 months to fund. If you can't afford to replace a plane than you shouldn't put it in the air. Yes, it took me 4 months to fund this project, but if it goes in most of the equipment can be reused and the biggest expense would be the airframe, about 2 weeks work. You asking for money then saying that you would destroy an aircraft for pleasure. That is like saying "Hey buy me a mustang so I can crash my pinto." Sorry dude, grow up. Join the real world. There are thousands of young people out there that would love to have that plane because they don't have anything to fly. Now, If i knew a kid that was trying to get into RC and didn't have anything to fly, or was trying to move up from an "Air Hog" plane then I would be happy to help with the loan of a trainer or even the gift of a trainer IF the kid was trying to do things the right way and just couldn't scrape together enough money.

HA! Light up a 40 size junker for a fine piece machinery?. Tell yall what. For a new DA100, I'll light my bare ass off, and jog down the runway a few hundred feet. And I want even ask you guys to add the mufflers!!!! On second thought, you might want to include them. Might muffle the screams down a little bit! |

Wow, what is going through these kids heads these days. Vic,Vic,Vic, Buddy. Go to school, get a job, save your money, pay the bills. If you have any money left go ahead with your big plane dreams. If you don't have the money, then oh well, no big plane. Yet anyways. You know what the problem is today. All you you kids are on the internet all day everyday, and you see so many people with these big planes. What you never realize and will rarley see on the internet, is how much of an investment this takes, and how hard someone had to work to get what they have now. There is a lot more to big airplanes, than just being able to afford one. You need experience also. As you are growing up, going to school, working, and saving your money, you will be gaining experience also. Vic, take a couple of steps back and take a look around. Learn to appreciate the things in life that you already have. So many kids in this world have a hard time just getting food in their belly, and clothes on their back. Vic, be greatful for what you have right now. Set some goals for yourself, and work towards them. DON'T BEG, it's revolting. Mike Darr |
