Wayne, The contest will be run as per BOD guidelines. However, there should be no restrictions on what activities can be run after the IMAC sequences are done for the day. These activities will be optional (but participation strongly encouraged). Some guys aren't satisfied with only flying two flights in a day. So, we if can have some more organized, light, fun competition in the mix after hours (instead of just random flying) then I think it adds more to the weekend, and it can also add to the pilot's skill sets. But, if guys prefer just open flying after the sequences are done for the day, we'll go with what the majority wants. Thanks, Pete

maybe a foamy imac contest ? but you have to use a plane that has no airfoil. we do all kind of crazy stuff with foamys. shopping kart landing, or transcan bagger. just to name few. man this, is gonna be fun. Jamie, cant wait to see the cuda fly. the yak is still in the trailer have not done anything to it. I got to finish my pattern plane first. Just bought a carden yak sat. , so one will be in line after the small yak, carden has got to be finished. Kent, I might need to park my trailer there for a few days after the contest I have to go up north after the contest. If that is ok with you. I can leave you the keys so you can fly some of the stuff. Like you dont have anything to fly. LOL josh Last edited by ifly3d; 02-25-2007 at 12:52 PM. Reason: cant spell worth a damn. |

What I'm thinking of doing is this: Sat: * 2 rounds of knowns (myabe a third depending on number of participants & time left) * 1 round of "short unknowns" (this is a separate competition from the IMAC contest - it will be scored, but will not affect IMAC contest results). Guys from the NE will remember my short unknowns from a few years ago. The sequence will be only 3 figures - a "killer" figure, a turnaround figure, and then the same "killer" figure again (so you're forced to fly it both ways). The sequences are written by class. Unlimited last time was a 4 roll rolling loop, a hammerhead, and the rolling loop again. Advanced was a four roll rolling circle; in, out, in, out. And so on. The sequence will be distributed to the pilots about 30 min prior to flying. * Foamy huckin' contest (by spotlight, if necessary!) Sun: * One round of unknown * One round of knowns * Freestyle Any other comments/suggestions welcome. Dave, make sure and practice up on your hammerheads! Pete
