well i got some practice in this week. my plane is a bit on the tail heavy side and havnt really had time to move the cg. I am going to work on the plane more after this contest and get ready for triple tree.

Great contest under trying circumstances......

4 rounds on Saturday and lots of tired faces!! Unknown this morning, then formation flying and a missing man formation for Bobby......
then Freestyle and awards....

OK...this northerner will admit it... it was HOT!!!
but really overall great weather for flying...low winds (darn..I can't use that excuse!!) and a great group...
the club was AWESOME on how well they fed us and took care of us!

The Sunday morning devotional was fantastic.

Guys congrats on a great contest. I'm cetain, that Bobby R., had a great big smile on his face, to see you fellas pursue his vision, and carry on. I learned of his passing on my return home form vacation, and it deeply sadens me to know, he's gone, but his efforts, and dedication to his family, and the SE Imac Family will live on thru the "Bobby Richardson Memorial Imac Contest" for years to come.Take a moment out of your day , and reflect on how short life really is. Our condolences go out to the Richardson Family.

What an outstanding event!! Kurtis - excellent job. I would have never known it was your first time as CD. A tremendous thanks to the host club for all the hard work and hospitality. I have never eaten so well at an event and the BBQ was outstanding! I didn't know Bobby Richardson, but he must have been one heck of a guy. I am sure he would have been proud of the way everyone came together to make the contest work and the tribute on Sunday morning was a very special part of the event for me personally. A special thanks to the property owner as well. The club is very lucky to have this man as the owner. He is obviously an aviation enthusiast himself and it looks like you will have a great place to fly for many years to come. This contest will definitely be on my calendar for next year.
