I hacked the heck out of it. Now I can't get the covering back down. Iron won't fit. I hate to mess up Ty's masterpiece.

No worries... I'll check it out. They definately expand and grown in length a bunch. I've seen 1/2" - 3/4" expansion.

Did everybody get signed up for the NATS?
I just sent mine in today,,almost missed the deadline!

With the NATS starting on a Monday and ending on Thursday, everybody should have plenty of travel time. Hope to see some of the western pilots again.

Matt, I bought a trim sealing iron. I may take a stab at it. I never had to do this with my plastic plane

Yup.. You know... Monokote hasn't changed since I can remember... ultracote too... all these great leaps forward with battery technology, 2.4, reliable gas engines, standard sized servos that are 400+ in/oz, CF and composite technology... and we still have the same old covering developed in the 70's.

40 years and no better covering.
