Nathan, Much better than the yellow plane. I put 15 flights on it and took it to Baton Rouge and immediately noticed how much less work it was. The only downfall is it has wayyy more speed than it needs and right know looking at a 3 blade to take care of it. Like you I felt my money was better spent working the bugs out and flying at home this weekend. Heading to Pratville next. Hope you can make it here to P-cola, should be a good time. I see over on the IMAC site they are talking about having Unknowns for Basic class (this is purely optional) just to get some experience/practice. Hmm.... |

Mejzlik 28-10, getting 6600 rpms on the ground w/MTW cans. My throttle curve is linear but I cannot seem to control (speed) well enough on the inside outside loop. The top part will not curve down when I give it rudder (in the half roll) and when it does start to change direction it is not smooth. My heavy, underpowered (slow) 260 did it better. Another area I need to work on is the stall break heading into the spin. It just keeps flying. Overall it flies better with a rearward CG, but will not break in the stall, so I'm inching it forward. Problem is there is nothing to attach the batteries too. |

I had the same problems until I went to a Flight Mode with high rate elevator and high rate rudder - those would slow my Yak down and allow a beautiful break. Oh yeah, I added a bunch of tail weight to move the CG back. Bobby aka TDD | ||||||||||||||||||

Yep, Worked on it Tuesday, 20 degrees elevator and about 45 degrees rudder, maybe 15 degrees aileron dialed into a flight mode. Looked good. Ron Chidgey is working with me to get it better. Now that I have the rates worked out the Cg is going back to where it needs to be. |

Got a cool flyer up for it now. I'll need to start getting a total count for the Saturday afternoon dinner. Pilot's dinner is included, additional guests will need to be added in for a nominal $15 bucks. So, please sign up or send me a note so I can get the dinner count over to my club officer who is handling the dinners. I'm sure there will be enough to go around, even if last minute arrivals happen. It's a big O plate of food, plus dessert. Thanks, Greg |

Yep, you guys keep working on that, I'm heading up to Camden in the morning. Jon, I did notice a big difference in my loops and pulling uplines after you did the angle thing on my plane. That was a big help, thanks. Greg |

Hey Greg - Add one non-flyer dinner for me...........or, shouldn't I get a discount for driving 9 hours to this event??? Or maybe beating Scott will be enough reward! Jack |

Yes sir, I was planning for each pilot to bring along at least one guest/caller/lovely assistant. And I thank you for being so prompt. But, you have a good point there, something for the longest drive award.... I'm sure we can figure something out. We gotta take it easy on Scott, poor guy planted his pretty new plane and it wasn't even broken in yet. Ouch! |
