Default Re: YS-140 Prop for pattern

Alrght here has what been going since..
A YS-140 Sport does not run very well when the valve cover is coming off and falls off completely luckily it fell off while on the ground. this is most likely what has been causing our problems.
We tried the 16X10 apc prop and the 30% fuel and it ran like a champ.
Now we found that a big four stroke does a hurting on MG servos so we need to replace the servos. And now i am asking whats a good servo to run on a 2M pattern ship that are nylon geared?

Shouldn't hurt MG servos!!!!! Are you running the engine on a vibro mount? You should alway run YS's on shock mounts with shock mounts on the pipe and the manifold. I have a futaba digi MG on the elevator a hi-tec 5955 TG on the rudder and standard futaba coreless on the ailerons, never had a problem in 3 years.
Have you balanced your prop and spinner?

Cheers

Andy

Yeah, a guy we know who flies pattern told us about MG servos stripping out so we didn't want to chance it and we got new fancy hitec carbonite servos. after i put the new servos in we discovered the MG servo was just fine but instead the servo arm stripped out. that was a real . and yes we do have a vibro mount.

Thx all for the help everyone.
