Try this:

http://nsrca.us/judging-sequences/judgehome.html

On that page you can download some pretty cool PowerPoint presentations that take each figure and shows the judging criteria for it.

There are also "Aresti type" drawings there as well, but Pattern "Aresti" sometimes is a bit different. The PowerPoint presentations are the way to go. Unlike IMAC, in pattern it is the WRITTEN narrative that is the rule.

Also, there are some significant differences in judging criteria. For instance, centering is required on all center figures. There is a box, and deviations in pitch, roll and yaw are downgraded at 1 point per 15 degrees instead of a half point per 5 degrees.

This is a BIG difference. For instance in pattern you have to over rotate a roll or spin by 160 degrees before you zero it (assumes no other errors). IMAC gives you 90 degrees and then that's a zero!

haha, i dunno, a buddy of mines got a mantis and he offered to let me me fly it that weekend if i decide to come. I fly intermidiate imac and its pretty similar to advanced pattern but i dunno. Ill decide when the date gets closer. im just not used to having to read the manuvers cause in imac weve got the picture arestis.

again, thanks for posting that link. helped me alot.

Is that Paul's plane now?

These presentations should help you decode the written and draw an aresti for them if you want.

You should come out, we need some young guys with talent for the national team some day

No the plane used to be simon durkins(spelling) MAntis. ITs got the OS 2 stroke 140 in it on a pipe. Sounds cool. IT belongs to bill fong now. Im just doing the pattern for the fun of it, maybe after imac i may get into it a little more.

Oh yes, I know that plane well. Should be Ok for Advanced, probably a little underpowered for Masters though

Well, maybe will meet you there.
