Jason, you could fly a funtana to a win. FAI class i assume?
Seriously...the plane locks in well, just needs to be tamed down and the cg set for precision. same as IMAC, you know.

hehehe, thanks Ryan. It appears we might sneak in around 10 2-3 oz for rtf weight with 3700 packs but we will see.. i hope to get to a point tonight where i can put it on the scale and see where we stand. Not sure where i lost 10 oz i had predicted but no complaints. I will be able to run some large batteries as needed depending on wind it seems.

Prop selection time and maiden to come as soon as i can get the batteries in.

All right guys!!

I've finally gotten all of the work done, that I'm going to do, to my Mantis, formally Arch Staffords. If any of you saw this bird fly at the Nats last year, it looks cosmetically a ton better.

I cut a lot of old repairs out of the belly pan and repaired the surface. I probably saved 2 oz. right there.

Same scheme, just a ton of body work and partial new paint.

The clear is drying and I'll start gearing it up tomorrow, hopefully.

Thanks Robert,

It's 3 years old and been flown hard, I've got a lot of work in it to get it back to reasonable shape. I just hope this thing remembers how to win with "my" hands on the sticks.

Those D6 guys better look out then!! Becoming the D4 champ isn't easy and with Archie's old bird you should have no trouble down there in D6.

I don't know, there's some good pilots down here!! The first thing I need to do is actually fly the sequence for the first time!

Thanks for the incentive Adam!!
