Saw the plane today...plane looks great...as long as the plane remembers how to fly Ken should be in great shape. Still one of the best flying planes I've ever flown. Had a LOT of flights with that plane, and won a lot of contests...a great airplane and the refinish Ken did looks great..

To say that D6 is no trouble, means your stuff better be right on.

Look forward to seing you at a contest ken, too bad you couldnt make Temple.

Ken, absolutely not directed at you, i am looing forward to seeing you and Arch make a contest, we all have been hoping to get out and fly with you two but you gys are stuck in no mans land there. i need to get out and fly a bunch myself, maybe we can meet halfway somewhere between SA and Del Rio and have a day of practice.

BTW, the plane looks great, i remember it at NATS last year, she looked like she been flown hard and never put up.. haha just teasing Arch.

See ya'll soon.

Chuck

Hey Chuck,

Good finish this weekend, I saw the results!!

We'll get together soon, I'm putting the gear in the Mantis as we speak. You won't hurt Arch's feelings about the looks of this bird last year, he knows the look wasn't there, but this sucka' flew well, except for that little exhaust thing...

Rest assured...that will not be an issue with another of Archie's planes...

I can't wait to hit a contest, I'm itchin'!!! Maybe flying the sequence a couple of times might be a good idea, though. We need to get together!!

Ken, should should have seen the red glow in the air as all the rust flew off us!!! It took me 3 rounds to get it out of my system till i flew near my potnetial.

Not sure if you saw the raw scores but it was a very close contest all the way around.

Talk to you more later.

Chuck

This is a nice pattern for a plane. I was thinking about going with a plaid pattern but then I was told "Plaid is SOOOO last year"

Just a couple of additional pics, everything is complete and ready to fly.

I think I might have to re-paint the wheel pants, didn't realize how bad they looked until I mounted the gear.
