Pretty sure I'll be flying Intermediate, got talked out of moving up.
Looks like you'll have one more competitor. I just got my vacation schedule cleared from my boss.

I hope your ready Ken. I must have flown the sequence 15 times at the field and countless times on the sim.

I'll of course be flying a state of the art Sequel with a ys-120ac . OH yeah!!! Lawn Darts unite!

Hey Adam,

Glad to see you will be hitting the circuit!!!

My "competitor" comment was referring to one guy that's down here with me, we practice together, but I can't wait to hit the road with the D6 crew and see all of you guys when I have a chance to head up north!!!

You are making the Nats, right?

Check this out fellas...From Mike Hester at custom airframes in Georgia...

Well, I am pretty sure this one was inevitable. It’s been a long time coming, and this has me more excited and motivated than anything else I have done with model airplanes thus far.

I am honored and extremely happy to announce an official partnership with Bryan Hebert and Hebert Competition Designs. This is an official merger of sorts, and Custom Airframes will be in full partnership with Bryan Hebert and his incredible designs.

We have assembled a “dream team” of sorts in the effort to produce some of the finest F3A aircraft in the world. We have some of the most talented, detail oriented and creative minds in the US working closely together. Our goal is to bring you the best quality wood/composite kits and planes you can find, with NO compromises. We are also looking to include some very neat detail accessories to the line up.

We have some of the best in the world at design, engineering, composites, laser and CNC cutting, foam core production, test pilots, and the list goes on and on...

The new offerings will be engineered, kitted and provided by Custom Airframes. We’re not at liberty to discuss the full details yet, but you can expect a new version of the Black Magic, a new wood/composite version of the Shinden, a Shinden Bipe, and a few other surprises as well as future designs. These will be top quality kits, laser and CNC cut, with built in alignment tabs and a level of engineering to make building one of these planes so easy anyone can do it (and do it FAST ). We intend to offer various levels of the kits for the scratch builder and the person who wants a very complete kit. All plans will be done in CAD with a very detailed and complete guide. Also we intend to devote special sections of the web site to trimming, detailing and a host of other things.

As the future allows, we will announce some of the people involved with this project. Before you ask, the time frame is open ended. We simply will not release anything until all of us are satisfied with the final outcome. This requires a lot of time, money and more time, so please be patient. We will not settle for “good enough”. It's time to raise the bar.

It is important to note that while we will obviously be conferring on our individual designs, we each have full design authority over the final outcome of our individual planes. These do not “replace” any existing designs, it is simply a team effort to add to your choices and options. More is better!

We were hesitant in announcing anything officially just yet, but the rumor mill has already started churning so we decided it best to set the facts straight publicly. So yes, it’s for real, and it’s already in motion.

I can’t express how optimistic we are about the future. Bryan and I think very much alike on design and construction, and this is a natural progression for the both of us.

Stay tuned, this is going to be a great and exciting venture!!

-Mike
