Default refurbishing a pattern plane

I picked this up from a friend of mine. It needs some work a I wanted to know if anyone would be interested in following it.

thats the thing i have no idea what it is but i think its a pretty nice design. Kinda heavy but it will do. any of you pattern guys recognise it. I was told that it was a Don Lowe Pheonix but i cant be sure of it.

Yes, it is definitely a Phoenix, probably a "6", possibly a "8". I had one "6", and four "8's". I really liked the Phoenix!

Seems like the Phoenix 6 I had way back when had a pipe tunnel down the top (i.e. the canopy)...it has been soo long and soo many airplane ago though.

Cool its nice to have a couple people who have owned one. Did any of you build yours and i need to know if i have to sheet the stabs or fiberglass right on the foam. I have a set on air retracts from my Jet that im putting in it. And im think more about putting an OS 91 FX and ultra thrust tuned pipe, should be balistic.
