yesterday was insane!!! a guy i fly with had his electric glider out for the day so we decided to try. and from my fullscale glider experiance i was thinking we might hit big lift with all the cumulos clouds everywhere.. sure enough he did a 2 minit climb and shut it down, then it shot toward the cloud like a rocket out of control, we had to pass the tx back and forth to give our necks a break.. at one point the 2m glider was almost out of sight.. 28 minits of flying with a 2 minit power run great stuff!

Just tried a mate 4s pack on the cirrus, much better thrust so once my pack turns up we should be in for some great gliding.

Took the cirrus out again today, The climbs are much better now, but I am overloading the speedie and it cut out after 30sec or so. I will order a 30amp speedie this week then we should be sweet.

Was pretty windy today so what lift there was disappeared downwind very quickly, so I was just playing around with my power on mix so I get a nice steady climb. Hopefully next time there will be so more lift around.

Got my 30A Turnigy speedie today. Got it installed this evening, will be flying it again on sunday hopefully it goes well this time.

The weather is starting to come good again now so there should be bucket loads of lift around.

I love gliders, that's my favorite past time in the local park now. Got myself a discus launched glider last year from "Soaring USA" and after a few hopeless throws and a couple of accidents, managed to master discus technique and all I can say it's very relaxing. It's like fishing. You " fish" for thermals. So many times I thermaled out to the height I could hardly see it, from a hand throw. Great fun!

Yeah it's a different challange. Defy gravity without and engine.
