| Sleepy's step and fetch ![]() | Yep.. ITs a Yamaha powered 250 CC MC engine w/ water cooling. Designed to be autonomous, and do high risks ops like spraying in tight areas, surveillance, or photo work. Its called the Yamaha R MAX ![]()

| Sleepy's step and fetch ![]() | Trust me, stay with a 50 size. 30 size is fun for bout 5 minutes, once you start getting into some aerobatics of more than loops and rolls, you'll want the power of a 50. I have a Raptor 50 that will have a scale body on it, once I repair it. My 3D ships are my TREX's. A great machine, cant wait until the TREX 700 comes out

| NCFR Rocks (even from here!) ![]() | Yep...thats what I was saying and I agree... the 30 is fine... until you try to actually "fly" the heli

| Mother Huckin' ![]() | I agree with everyone. I suggest you invest in the 50 size from the get go. Raptors are really good helis and will do pretty much anything. They're also a good beginner's machine and parts are affordable and easy to find. As soon as you can fly it around in a pattern, you're going to want to do more and more and realize that the 30 size is not enough. Start with a 50. ![]() Good luck, helis are really a lot of fun! Can't wait till I can spare a couple bucks to get a T-rex 600 or similar. I got to the point where I could invert my Evo 30, then I sold it so I could afford this guy: <-------------

| NCFR Rocks (even from here!) ![]() | I work at a hobby shop and the first thing I can suggest when it comes to which heli is to go visit your local shops.... See which brands they carry and go with that one..... If you buy a cheap one online, and nobody local carries parts (and you WILL need parts ) you are down for up to a week waiting for orders.....just remember Heli's ARE fun, but they AIN'T cheap!

| Bad-ass Super Contributer! ![]() | I flew a Knight 50 3D for awhile and also flew my buddies Align 600N. They both fly very well. After owning a Raptor 50 and even an Evo 50 flying both for awhile, there is no comparison to either the Knight or the Align. The Knight had a better roll rate and the 600N was a bit more stable in FFF. You really can't go wrong with either one. If it were me, I would buy the standard Align 600N. There is really no need to get the Pro version. The standard version has a stiffer G10 frame and a plastic canopy and it is much cheaper. If you get the Knight I would recommend the 3D version over the standard. It is close to the same price as the Align standard and you will not need to add any upgrades. You can spend the cost of two helis in upgrades on a Raptor 50 and in my opinion it will never fly like the Align or Knight. The main benefit of the Align is the availability and cost of replacement parts. Also, once you buy the heli the only extra cost for a 50 over the 30 is the price of blades. |
