Mike,
It comes down to what you want to do with the heli. The Raptor was king in it's day but it cannot touch the Trex or Knight for stability and 3D flying. My flying buddy never liked 50's until he flew the 600N. He has now put away his Stratus 90 and only flys the Trex. Grand RC has some good combo deals on the Trex and I believe free shipping.

I have pics at home and I won't be there until next week. There is alot of setup info on runryder in the Compass forum. The 3D version is pricey but you won't be spending anything later on upgrades. The Align 600N standard version is cheaper than the Knight and pretty much comes with a complete metal head and really does not need any upgrades. I think the G10 frames on the standard 600N are stiffer than the frames on the 600N pro. You may be able to find a scale fuse for the 600N easier than the Knight as well. I know alot of people go with the Sceadu Evo 50 for a scale airframe and that flys much better than the Raptor as well. The only negative side to the Evo is the parts cost are more expensive. There really are alot of choices out there which in the end is great for everyone.

TT raptor has got there own brand of scale fuses for the titan/50 includin a md530 a 500d and a equirel all bolt straight onto the raptor and i love the way that my 530 flys and raptor i think is a better opion than a trex or knight if you want to go into scale

I just picked up a used venture 50 and was wondering if anyone could tell me what I am in for. I have been told that it is a good beginner heli. I have flown the CP Pro and said to hell with helis but I ran across this deal and couldn't pass it up. Is it a pipe dream or a good heli to learn with.
