| Look Boss, DeePlane DeePlane!! ![]() | I just got an align 35A speed controller and was about to throw it into my mini titan. Checked all the servos to be sure they're compatable with 6Volts and they are. But I went on towers site to check if the gyro would be ok with 6V and their site says this. " GY401 Gyro- Length: 27mm Width: 27mm Height: 20mm Weight: 27g Voltage- use only with a 4.8V battery. (if you use it with a higher voltage battery it needs to be regulated to 6.0V) Does this mean it's ok to use at 6.0V or should I stick with the 4.8?.... Hummm....

| If you can't Knuck it.... ![]() | I had always been under the impression that the 401 could take the higher voltage, but it was the tail servo that needed to be on a lower voltage because the fast futaba servos will roast on anything more than 4.8... Where is Nitro? he will know.. |

| My Baby with a Synergy? Oh NO! ![]() | The Futaba gyros do not like 6 V, that is why Fromco came up with the Arizona regulator. That provides 6V for your flight servos and 4.8V for your gyro and t/r servo. That is the only drawback of the 401, otherwise it is a great sport gyro. I have one on my Jetcopter and it works super.

| Look Boss, DeePlane DeePlane!! ![]() | According to the servo specs my tail servo can handle the voltage (Futaba S9650). But I dont really want to mess with the gyro. So I got an idea. Can I just throw a regular fromeco regulator on it. I really only want the speec controller for the soft start function.

| Look Boss, DeePlane DeePlane!! ![]() | I have an electrifly 40A esc right now. Just checked the voltage at 0Amps is 5.1Volts. then checked the align. 6.0Volts on the dot.

| Help - I like helicopters ![]() | It sounds like 6V actual is fine. You just don't want to use a 5 cell RX pack as input power - it can be mid 7V or better on a fresh pack. On my Raptor 50 I have a 5 cell pack, but have it regulated to 5.6V (all I could get... or I would have went 6V) |

| Look Boss, DeePlane DeePlane!! ![]() | I'm gona fully charge my lipo and then plug her in and if it's at a solid 6.0V, no more. then I think I might give it a spin.

| Gohbee Dude ![]() | It is right there in the specs you posted.
As was mentioned above the only place there is a problem is with running a 5 cell pack direct. It is the 9253/4 servos that do not like 6.0V, regulated or not. I have been running a 401 on regulated 6v for 2 years and hundreds of flights with no problems. | |||||||||||||||

| Look Boss, DeePlane DeePlane!! ![]() | Just sat in my chair and hovered in front of the computer for about 6 minutes with the new align esc on 6V. No problems. Thanks for the help.
