| Flyin' Around ![]() | Hi, I'm a beginer in hellis and the problems never stops. Crash, then gyro problem then ESC problem and now ... engine problem. The engine the ESC and the LIpo it heating up verry bad after 1 minute. That is not ok... but now the heli goes up and down without warning.. I understand down.. maybe the esc cut the engine.. but UP ???? I have the stock engine and esc. The first ESC was broken an I changed with another one from one minitian that it works fine. Any sugestion ? |

| Super Contributer ![]() | I have the same heli and erratic behaviour is from the motor/esc/battery over heating. Too much hovering is the cause. If I leave the canopy off it won't over heat, also try cutting more cooling holes on top of the canopy. |

| Flyin' Around ![]() | I flown without the caopy and I had the same problem. My friend who help me setup the heli has the same heli and his never heat up so bad. I will drill some more holes in the canopy and the the fan for cooling the engine is on the way. Still, I don't think the up and down movement is from the heating problem. It does that just after take of when the engine and esc are cool. |

| cuttin the grass with balsa ![]() | Go to your local Hobby shop and get a Heat Sink to put on the ESC. They make them for RC Cars, I did this on mine and it helped a bunch. Bruce

| Flyin' Around ![]() | Something else is wrong. What RPM are you running on the head? If the RPM is too low, you will heat the motor/ESC/battery up. You should be running 2600-2800 RPM on the head. The stock wooden blades also make things run hotter (apparently more drag). I went to CF blades on mine-it definitely ran cooler. Heat sinks are fine, but you need to identify the source of the problem. Something is causing it to draw more current than it should. |
