Default G401y ?

Does anyone use the rudder to gyro mix to control the gain?

no need for a mix... at least never was for me,,,
just set gain on its own channel....

are you increasing gain as you increase rudder or something like that??

I have a rudder to gain mix on a switch.
I have an inverted V curve so that as I increase rudder input the gain goes down.
So at full rudder the gyro is effectively turned off.
The only time I actually use this is for a ripper where I want the absolute maximum possible pirouette rate.

It works for a Ripper.
It is bad news for any other flying.

WARNING!!!!
Make sure that your battery and other electronics as well as mechanical parts, are well mounted or they will leave the heli at the max mechanical piro rate.
I have had the centrifugal force pull off the tail boom on a shaft drive tail at this piro speed.

Nice Jeff, very nice! Is there video of that anywhere? I suppose on the good side, you dont have to worry about a boom strike!
