Hey guys, I found this while browsing the forums. I was the pilot who flew the T-Rex 450 with that motor and the video is legit and in real time. The thing is ridiculously powerful

Thanks for the welcome Mike. The ESC will depend on your application, on this heli the motor peaks at 55 amps, but for a very short amount of time. I'm running a 35 amp ESC, but it is holding up believe it or not. I think any 45 to 55 amp ESC should do the job. The video is real time/speed, there are more videos of me flying that heli with the motor:

Good god... what head speed were they running? That sounded like a swarm of angry bees!!! I had my TREX no where near that high and it was all I could do to keep the blade grips on the thing!

This is the SE version, all the metal bits are included in the kit. It runs ~$450 for the kit.

There is a model of it for G3.5 and I played around with it. Umm... its not too hard to handle. I guess I got better since the last time I tried to fly a heli. I'm still a threat to life and limb but I could hover it and toss it around pretty good. Would be kinda neat.

Its err... tempting.

Hey guys, yeah this is the SE v2 version, it comes with all metal head parts. Mine is in stock form, the only upgrade is the Scorption motor, which increases the head speed from about 3100 (stock motor) to about 3700 or so. So far I have about 70 flights with this exact setup without issues. It is very hard on the packs though, so I need to limit my flight time to about 3 to 3.5 minutes. It is quite a rush though, after 3 min I want to land already
