I believe that the rear bearing is under spec'd for the power this thing produces. The YS uses the same bearing and I'll be pleasantly surprised if the Red Line has a different one because the TT 50 uses the same rear bearing as the OS, though it doesn't put out anywhere near the power because of the smaller throat and crappy carb.
Its good to hear I'm not the only one that has tried everything under the sun to get these bearings to last.. rumor has it the TT 53 will be shipping real soon I will check the bearings out and let you guys know..

Oh ya and if its not 2 years old, grinding the web away will void the warranty.

Can you honestly tell us when the last time you used a warranty on a 2 stroke engine.
As if you would be able to convince them the user is not the case of your failur.

So what your $20.00 out if you were to try and mest up.

I've had great luck with Hobby Services replacing or repairing engines under warranty.

I've fooled with a few helicopters here and there, I'm not convinced grinding up the crank shaft is going to fix anything.

Buying from the local LHS is the best insurance. I can walk a motor into mine, one that has been in business for 60 years, and drop a motor on the counter and get it serviced/replaced like royalty.

Supoort your LHS and excersize the warranty. Buying from internet suppliers has it's cost advantages, but no hands on support.

My OS Hyer has been very good to me, but it's winter and time for tear down and inspection, if it is worn, time to go the LHS and drop it off.
