Help! main blades

I got a question the covering on the main blades is comeing off. Can you remove the covering & still use the blades there 550mm thanks for every ones help.

They need to be covered. Stick on monokote thats properly applied should work fine, or replace them.

Make sure the roots are epoxied on and use thin ca to harden/fuel proof any exposed wood.

On an electric heli the covering is more cosmetic than functional.
If it is glow heli then follow Andy's advice.

Chunk the old blades and get a set of Youngblood Radix or V-Blades. Thunder Tiger blades work well also and are a little cheaper. Also check Heliproz and look at the Mavrikk blades. They are pertty good for the price. If your old blades are wood, don't run them over 1800 rpm and don't do any violent 3D with them. If you are just hovering they will be OK, but a good set of carbon blades will make for a much better flying heli.
