Help! Looking for heli....

I've had an Axe CP for about a year and 3 months now, but I really haven'y learned much with it.

I am looking for a heli to replace it, and I was thinking about a T-rex 450 or T-rex 500. I was also considering a Thunder Tiger Mini Titan too.

Which would better suite my minimal experience, "don't need training gear to fly" skills?

I have the Mini TItan and really like it.. It is just a tad longer than the Trex 450 so it is not as Twitchy. A buddy picked up the Trex 500 and was putting it together. Looked good Much bigger than the Titan and 450. I would purchase what ever your pocket book will let you. The 500 does require a 6s pack and a charger capable of charging it.

Hmm, something that I will have to buy, a 6 cell lipo and 6 cell lipo charger.

I was really liking the Mini Titan SE. I think I would do much better with that than the cruddy Axe CP stock.

Besides, it's more in my price range. And I've seen mnay T-rex's go into the ground on their first flight attempts, and only few with the Mini Titan.

I run TREX 450 se's - its outstanding...if your looking for the best bang for the buck the TREX 450 SA ARF version is the way to go....Also check out the BLADE 400 RTF.....my wife got me this one, i was skeptical...took it out of the box and was wringing it out in 15 minutes after charging the battery...serious 3D can be had with the Blade 400 right out of the box...

It is all in the setup. Get help setting up your bird before you fly it.

The Titan is great, so the trex 450 v2. Setup right, I think the ttitan outperforms the Trex.

The Blade 400 is NOT setup for hard 3D out of the box, it will fail. Not IF, but when is the question.

Change out the tail servo and get better blades...it rocks. But not until then. It is a good intermediate, and great step up if you have the CP and don't already have a decent radio.

If you have a good radio , buy the Trex or Titan. Get a hoop made of pvc hose, and two long dowels and get used to having a light touch on the sticks.

the Trex 500 can be flown with 2 3S packs used on your 450 class machines...a great step up from the 450 class, once you amass some batteries. Bigger flies bettter.

I learned on Trex 450 SE with a hoop, got used to FF , took it off, and when I flew a Raptor 50 for first time it was like a revelation....smooth, stable, I could keep up with it, awesome. Th eTrex taught me a light touch on sticks and the Raptor's stability gave the confidence to get agressive.

Good luck...go read everything On runryder.com , and trextuning.com, Helifreak.com.

I have an Optic 6 from Hitec, so I have eCCPM capabilities.

I was actually considering the Blade 400 before, but I was skeptical about it, if it would hold when I advance to aerobatic flying.

Get the Blade400. I have 2. It's very capable out of the box and yeas, there are alot of nay sayers out there. For $469 you get a damn good radio (DX6i) and a well designed heli that flies great. Upgrades can always be done later like any heli. Buty for getting in the air with minimal fuss and expense the Blade is hard to beat. Just buy a quailty machine that has parts support. The worse is waiting weeks and paying shipping on a 4 dollar part. Good luck.
