| Bad-ass Super Contributer! ![]() | How much payload capability does a 450 have for use as an AP (aerial photography) platform in the following configurations? a) stock (preferred) b) flat blades and altered gear ratio Can it handle 11oz? I'm thinking a 600 is the only option, but I'd like to give the 450 a try. |

| Help - I like helicopters ![]() | Usually a helicopter can lift about it's own weight. 1/2 of that should give you some performance to get out of a tight spot. 11oz isn't a whole lot of weight & the 450 and especially batteries and charger are much cheaper. On the other the 450 will get really small quick.... where you can see the 600 from greater distances. |

| Flyin' Around ![]() | The Trex 450 actually makes a very good aerial platform, a light mount and small digital camera works very well. I have made a couple of custom mounts that are working very well. You'll be surprised how little altitude you really need. |
