Yet another fixed wing flyer venturing to the other side of the hobby. After I realized I was spending as much time on G3 with a modified Stratus as I was with all the planes combined, I figured I should give it a try. A few weekends ago I borrowed a raptor 30 and burned two tanks through it to see how the real thing compared to the sim. Yeah I know its not the same.........but its not too far off! I bought a used Trex 450se as my first heli. (crap...I'm already saying first) I have NO problems setting up planes but these little composite lawnmowers are a whole new ball game. The Finless videos were invaluble and after a lot of messing I finally got it figured out. (Pretty much) I have two packs through the Rex now and I love it. I should have done this a long time ago. And of course we are not showing off with the inverted hover are we. They are pesky danged things and I need an EVO 50 badly. Maybe pick one up when in the USA next month. Is it an addiction over on the dark side or does it come with a cure??? Kiwi |

The only cure I know of is to make your self stop flying them for a month (which is nearly impossible) then fly your giant model every day. That is what I did and I have not bought a heli since. Heli sober since august. |

Its a useless fight.... once an addict always an addict. It's just a matter of time before relapse. Heli's have breathed new life into the RC flight hobby for me. I was getting burnt, now Im just motivated. Flying 3x a week again, burning about 1 1/2 gals a week... Lovin' it ! Welcome. |
