I think the main shaft is bent if you want a metal gear try this web site

[You can straiten out the shaft in a drill chuck but I'd go for the hard shaft and gear.
The stock tail motor is a N30 Heli-Max has a N60 get it and the mount at Tower Hobbies it weighs a little more but not as much as the double motor mod.]
