Default Swift 16 vs Gaui Hurricane 550

Hey all

I'm getting ready to move up from a 450 size heli and I've narrowed my decision down
to a Swift or a Hurricane, but on the fence on which one. I plan 4s and 6S packs. Cost is
about the same for each heli maybe a little more for the swift. I'm still learning not into 3D
yet.
I'm concerned about parts availability. The swift is a established design the Hurricane is new.
Thoughts?? Please no thread wars.

Thanks..

Los

When the heli bug hit me.....I chose to go with the swift. I chose it to learn on and I'm proud to say I haven't had one crash yet................and I know....now I'm doomed. lol. Anyways.....I found it incredibly easy to learn on and it's a very stable flier. I've just started to work on FF.....so I'm sure I'll be going through parts soon. As for the few parts I have had to order....availability has not been a problem.

OK, MSRP just dropped on the Swift and I finally jumped in. Now will need motor and ESC selection.
I plan on 4 TO 5S setups. 6S is still a bit steep.

If your not into 3D yet.....pick up some 15C 6S packs. They can be had for a bit over a $100 per pack and if you gear it right.....8-10 min flights are no problem.

Thanks Neo . My Eagle Tree logger will come in very handy tuning this thing. It maybe a while
longer before I get it all together.

If I was looking for a 500 to 600 size, I would definitly go with the TREX 500 or 600,, I have a Trex 600nitro,, I just like gas,, but they fly great parts are cheap, they are light 3d monsters,,

I agree the 600N is a great option for the nitro world. However...when it comes to the TREX 500....I feel there are better electric options on the market. They are WAAAAYYYY overpriced i.......it just costs a lot more to get into one.

Actually, if you look at power and blade size the Swift fills the niche between the Trex 500 and 600
