Heli Max/ AXE CPv3 Battery Charging issue

I have a AXE CPv3 with about a dozen charges on and now when I plug the battery in to charge, the charger light just blinks RED.... Does anyone know what that means. I'm trying to figure out if it is a bad battery or a bad charger.... no crashes or anything, it did seem like the battery would drain kinda fast, I would get about a 10 minute flight before I needed to recharge it again. Any info would be helpful.

hello I had the same problem with my lipo battery for the axe cpv3. I emailed the "tech" people and they told me the battery was bad and I must have charged it improperly or discharged it to much when flying. which is not the case I was always sure to follow the directions to the letter. I bought a new battery and it worked like the last one flying time wasnt that long and after 15 flights when I plugged it in the charger had a blinking red light which means the battery is unable to charge. I have ordered a new charger and battery this time and if it happens again I am just going to sell the damn helicopter. 60 bucks for a battery and charger every 15 flights is a bit on the expensive side. so I hope that helps!

i know nothing about your particular battery/ charger but have flown electric helis for awhile now. a couple things to check should give you a good understanding of whats going on.
- use a voltmeter to check the individual cell voltage. be carful not to short them out (one lead on top of plug ,one in through the front. dont worry about which ones your cheching just make sure you get 3 seperate sets of readings (if its a 3 cell) they will all probably be around 3.3-4v. if your gettin 7 or 12v your measuring more than one cell. if your getting less than 3v or so the battery has been over discharged. all the cells should be the same voltage but if theyre way out of wack (more than .2v) then your out of balance. come back with your results
