Does anyone out there know, if anybody in the hobby is considering a s-64 sikorsky for scale project, with a turbine, and scale roter head I would love to see one. I think that 64 is one bad ass chopper here is a good website for you guys to check out on the s-64. If you browse around on that site there is some great video. click below http://www.ericksonaircrane.com/ |

Vario has an air crane for turbine mechanics here: http://us.vario-helicopter.biz/shop/...ducts_id=37697 And I'll bet you they have a scale rotor head for it! If you get into one of these you have to post some pics and vids! |

Yes, Vario does have a S-64 in both Petrol and Turbine versions. Yes, Vario is expensive, but so are Baumann, Len Mount, Graupner. The quality of these kits is so far above some of the others, you understand why they are so expensive. The other killer is the Dollar to Euro exchange rate. The best scale kits come from Europe and that jacks the price up to us in America.

| I saw.. A picture of what i beleve was a Lama at IRCHA... it might have been on this site I cant remember, but it looked Bads as well. It seams that it would be alot easyer to do a scale helli vs. a plank. as far build time is concerned. mybe do the fact that your not working with balsa but with aluminum or carbin. and paint not monokote. |

I hate to shock you but a scale heli, if done correctly takes a lot of time to build, probably about the same as a stick plane. There is a lot of work in getting a fuse ready to go. Working with fiberglass can be dirty. Working in carbon fiber is downright nasty!! Make sure you wear a dustmask, especially with CF.
