Help! Calling ALL shank experts!!!!

Ok, I was out flyin about 2 months back, while it was around 45-50 deg F here in OH land, and botched an auto. Ended up in a blade strike, trashed the boom(obviously), broke a blade, bent the spindle, mangled the flybar. Check the main shaft, was ok, bought a new one JIC(just in case). Now, finally gettin it back together. Weather here has been really on the shotty side, for the polite version of it! I take it over to my buds place over the weekend, after I install a new 9254 tail servo. Fuel, and fire up. Hyper 50 was a little cantankerous on the first start, but runs AWESOME!! Hirobo Sceadu 50(non EVO), MS blades, V-Paddles, MAH tails, and I'm ready to fly circles!! Spool up and it startsto shake like no tomorrow!!!! !!!!!!!!!! !!!! Check a few things, and try again. !!!!!!!!!! !!!!! Then I get the bright idea to check the spindle. It checks good. Mast is fine. What is left to check?? PITCH of the blades!! Well, found a bit of a little problemo! Normal mode, low throttle low pitch, I have -4 deg each blade. COOL!!! I come up to where I read 0 deg pitch at 40% throttle, each blade. OK, cool!! 50% head on(looking straight at the canopy) left blade is +2, right blade is +2.75 approx. HMMMMM????? 75% throttle +9 and +12!!!! !!!!! 100% power approx +11.5 to 12 and +16 PLUS!!!!!! Whats up with that!!!!!!!

Like I said before, Hirobo 50 Sceadu(non EVO), 8311's, 401/9254 combo, Hyper 50/MP2, MS blades, V Paddles, mah tails.........................

Not sure on what to do.........

HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Bunky~

I'd check your links over carefully, you may have bent or even cracked one.

I bought a link set and pushrods for it as well. Measureed the new ones of the old ones. Only thing I haven't done is to change the blades...............

Make sure your flybar carrier isn't cracked near the hub. The mixing levers attach to that and if it flexes the above could happen. Check the links again and go by the manual not the links that were involved in the crash. Make sure they are equal lengths for each pair. I think it sounds like a linkage problem.

not too familliar with that particular heli but with a metal head you could have bent the pitch arm on the blade holder. This would offset the bell/hiller ratio and give you more pitch in one that the other. You may want to check to see if you paddles are at zero with one another. Another thing that I noticed was how much pitch you are running at the top. 16 degrees to me sounds way overkill. when I was doing helis anything close to 11 and the blades would start to stall. Add in a cyclic command and that 11 degrees would go to 13 and make things even worse. When a blade stalls and makes that buzzing sound it sends a quite destructive harmonic through your entire heli.

Yup as was said above, there is still something bent or broken.
You have to go thru it very carefully to find it.

Results are the same, without taking it all apart for a FULL inspection. Somehow I managed to lose my little pissy 2mm L wrench!! So, all I got checked was the linkage lengths. I measured the Stab link and the mixer length. The mixer linkage length was a tad off, but I put it closer to 36mm(linkage wire distance between the end of each ball link). I think I am at 35.82mm??? Assembled everything back, and I still get the same results.

Pops is gonna look it over and make sure that we aren't missing anything. I know I am missing ABUNCH of pages from the instruction manual. I made a copy of the manual. So, if anyone out there has an extra Sceadu 50 manual, think I could bum it from ya????

Have you checked to sure that you do not have a bent blade grip?
As you move the stick thru its full travel does the swash stay absolutely perpendicular to the main shaft?
When you are checking your pitches, do you check one blade and then walk around to the other side to check the other one, or do you check one blade and then turn the rotor to check the other blade from the same side as the first?
Are you making sure that the flybar is perpendicular to the main shaft during all measurements?
Start at the servos, are the servo arms all level at half stick?
Are the gears in the servos all still good?
I know a lot of this sounds like the very basics, but we have to start some where.
