I think that a noobie starting with a T-rex is not the best advice, the replacement parts are a lot more expensive and overwelming to work on. Not that some can't do that, you can hover a Blade in your living room. I would be afraid to do that with my HDX 450 [T-rex clone] not that, that couldn't be done either.
But a crash is emenit not if but when it happens witch repair bill is cheaper?
Balance is the key for a Blade every thing has to be balanced good. The paddels, head, rotors makes them much easyer to fly. They all have there place on the heli chain I have a E-sky CP-2 and a E-sky HB K2 witch required just as much tinkering as the Blade. Fly what you have and enjoy the hobby.---Vernski
Hey Guy-I have 500 fligts on a CPPRO-done all the mods--
and guess what?
IT STILL SUCKS!!!!!!!!!IT IS A MONEY PIT___TREX IS A MUCH BETTER DEAL-
The cppro parts are bundled for sale-you end up paying for parts you don't need-
crashing my TREX 600 is cheaper than the money I have spent trying to make the CPPRO into a good heli-and the stock radio is a real el cheapo POS

Well don't get your shorts in a knot, if you done all the mods why don't you tell the guy who started this thread about them. Like were they good or bad or whatever? If you put 500 flights on your pro and didn't enjoy it I just feel sad for you. And I got news for you all helis are a money pit. What does a good set of carbons for a 600 cost these days anyway? Well you know what they say about opinions have a nice day.---Vernski

What about the ms-composit hornet x3d? my buddy has a blade cp and they are about the same size. I have the hornet but don't know crap abput setting up a heli or mine would be flying better. perhaps some of the parts from the x3d will work on the blade? I dunno just figured i'd throw it out there.

A good set of carbons cost me $40 for my trex 600-
The price of the eflite carbons is $37 at the LHS-for the cppro--
The main shaft for the cppro $6.+
Two main shafts for the 600 are $13-
I didn't say I didn't enjoy the flying-it's the repair costs,Sir...the pricing is outrageous--the big helicopter costs more initially-but the cppro will cost more to maintain in the long run--
There are 1000's of posts about this subject on the Heli sites and all the mods too-why spend money to make Chikkin Salad out of Chikkin Poop--
The CPPRO is junk til you spend the money on Mods---money is better spent on a good machine-that's my point---get the parts prices online and compare them-you will see

Get a TRex 450, you will be amazed how much easier it will be to fly than the Blade CP Pro.

Guys, lets get this back on track. Scott is asking about upgrades for a machine that he currently owns. He didn't come here to hear it bashed. He also didn't ask for opinions about other machines. That is information for other threads.

There has been some information posted about how to upgrade his machine, so lets see what other suggestions for upgrading his current machine our members have.

Thanks.

Well, I had 2 cp's. And iv'e done all the mods. A good thing to do is just save up for a t-rex, and just fly the crap out of your cp. And then trash it. Dont waste your money on modifications, i truly speak out of experience here, i've put at least a thousand bucks into mine. Flys like crap out of the box, flys like crap with 200$ worth of extra stuff!
