Default TREX 600 FLYERS LOOK HERE ASAP !

If your running align 600A carbon mains, you need to consider to stop using them ASAP. There has been a few cases of the lead weights being slung out of the tip at bullet speed in one case striking an individual causing a maming injury. He has lost one of his fingers. If your using them take this as a warning. Using them could cause the loss of heli, and perhaps a severe injury.

ALIGN Is an OUTSTANDING company, and is already investigating this. I know that in the end they will definately make right...

This statement is an FYI, and is not going to turn into a slam thread !

This only applies to the "A" blades or the carbon fiber 600MM part # H60115.

That is all

Is it all blades, or perhaps a certain production run?

One of the heli forums has a thread up about it too, and they said any blades with serial numbers starting with "FG" (not making a joke, it really is the ones starting with FG) are the troublesome blades.

The serial numbers are on the box, and the bottom of the blades.

I received this from Redi Heli today:

Dear Valued Ready Heli Customer:

We've recently been made aware of some safety concerns regarding the the Align Carbon Fiber Blades product # H60115.

Ready Heli recommends that you STOP using these blades immediately. Due to our commitment to stand behind the products we sell, we would like to take this opportunity to offer a FREE exchange of the Align Carbon Fiber blades you have recently purchased from us.

Please understand that this is an offer made by Ready Heli and not Align, Align USA or any other party. The manufacturer or distributor may or may not decide to replace, refund, or warranty these blades to you directly outside of our offer and accepting these replacements may void that opportunity via those channels.

The blades you return will be replaced with RCP Carbon Fiber Blades in a size of your choosing (500, 550, 600 or 325).

Please note this offer is good for 'un-crashed' pairs of blades only.

I see that the recall only applies to the 600A blades and not the 600B blades. My problem is I dont see any #'s on the bottom of my blades and the box they came in is long gone... Hummm... any ideas?

Supposedly there is a number on the bottom of the blade, near the root. (I don't have this heli... yet... plan to in the future...)

But pulled off another forum:

"
It has been brought to our attention that there may be an issue with the Align CF Blades Part #H60115. In the interest of the safety of our customers, Align has begun an official investigation of these blades. They will be meeting with the manufacturer in the next few days and will release an official statement with the results as soon as possible.

In the meantime, after some initial investigations it appears that the batch of blades with the serial number beginning with “FG” may have a manufacturer defect. Anyone who owns a set of blades with this serial number is advised to not fly them. In addition, anyone who wishes to return these blades may do so if, and ONLY IF the serial number starts with these letters. The serial number can be found on the top of the box that the blades are packaged in, and also on the under side of the blades themselves, at t he trailing edge where the blade begins to curve.

Assurance R/C and Align strive to provide the highest quality of products to our customers and will continue to take the necessary measures to uphold these standards. We are all taking this issue very seriously and will do our best to provide a solution immediately.

If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact us. We appreciate your continued support of Assurance R/C and all of the Align products."

I just bought a new pair of 600 blades. They are the 600D's and the serial number on the box starts with KG. Are these safe?

Yes you are safe. It was the 600A blades that were the problem.
