Default Shogun: Don't knock it till you've tried it

I got one used for next to nothing. I got it flying last night and was surprised how well it flew. Yes I know the tail drive issues, I'll go belt as soon as these strip out. The only mod mod minus the brushless set up is a steel main shaft, and light weight paddle mounts. Very nimble little bird. These things can be bought really cheap second hand now. Hovering in the dark with 20mph got a little hairy I took it out this morning and got a few flips in the from yard before work. Guess what I'm doing during my lunch break

You can get the V2 kits from Tower right now for $120. A friend picked one up with all the aluminum second hand at the swap shop. I'm not sure what he paid for it, but it flies like a dream.

I'll get some together. I just can't get my head around paying $500 for se. These micros are still in the toy catagory for me. Well maybe not toys, more the heli version of foamies.

BIFF, There is some killer deals on Ebay. I saw a blinged out airframe with servos for under $200. Just to give a heads up the v1 has a problematic shaft driven tail. The V2 is belt, with wider landing gear.
