There are a lot of factors. If you know how to tune a engine go nitro. You can get a good deal on used raptor 50. It will end up being about 600-700 depending on the setup Ready to go.

The problem for making a "step up list" is that you will ten different opinions about what is better from 10 different people. I'll work on it though. Great idea!

I am very interrested in building a scale looking heli,( Hughes 500 A-6 ) just like in the movie Black Hawk Down, My ? is , would the raptor 50 be a good candidate? I have zero interest in 3D helis , so manuverability is not an issue, I think stability for scale flying @ would be the key here.

i to want to do more scale the 3d,, im looking at getting a md500 body for my belt cp,, you would want to get the md500D for the little bird, i havent seen the movie in a while not sure it they where useing the new t tail setup or the slanted v like the oh-6 cayous,, hey nitro, if theres enough scale interest would it be possible to get a scale heli forum added... oh heres some inspiration for ya hehe oh the E model

Century Helicopter Products, is the best effort of a scale fuse I can find. The Thunder Tiger bodies are just a 1piece fiberglass body, as for as I can tell). Th eFunkey and Century bodies are multiple pieces and have Aircraft ply already installed to make putting it all together easier. Also look at Special Operations.com for a look at the real chopper used by the SO.

Century makes some realy nice scale fuses. But I don't care for their helis at all. I would say you be better off with rappy 50 enters. Parts are a lot cheeper. Most hobby shops stock rappy parts. And like a post a few pages back state, Tons of guys have owned rappys so help is an abundance and if you've never done helis your going to need the help to set it all up. Just my 2 cent

If anyone is still reading this thread... I have heard turning your paddles around and running them backwards can significantly improve the response of your heli in stick banging 3d type flying. Any truth to this? Or should I look into flybarless?

Look into flybarless dont flip the paddles because they wont follow the blades anymore. They will be backwards to blade rotation. To flip the paddles you must also flip the blade grips to keep everything following each other.

I don't know whether i am posting this at right place or not, excuse me and guide me if i am at a wrong place

I am new to the helis, i bought Thunder Tiger Mini Titan E 325. It was my 10th flight or so. Every thing was going fine and heli was flying nicely, suddenly tail starting to rotate as if gyro is not controlling. At first it started to rotate slowly and then it started to rotate like a fan and ultimately it crashed. My tail rotor was alright.
The question i want to ask is
What could have happened? Any guidelines? Any tips?

I am using Jr 2.4ghz DSX9 radio.
Gyro is Futaba 520
