Help! What do I need to know to get started?

hello all,

title says it all,

just tell me everything I basically need to know to get started with helis

I would also like a suggestion on a good one to start with, preferrably electric but if you can find something glow powered that you think I can afford I'll gladly take a look at it

Thanks

well, I've got the basics, lipo charger, field box, etc.

I've also got some extra cash lying around

also, I have a Futaba T7CAP that I'm flying all of my planes with, will that fly a helicopter?

Thanks to all who can help

FG I'm shocked ! This thread is almost an hour old. Where are all the heli guys ? I talked our secretary into stealing her kids Dragonfly so I could play with it.

I'm starting to get the heli bug too. I'd like to go electric or FOUR STROKE !! Just to have something to play with in the yard.

E Flite's blades are pretty good and easy to fix. I've looked into them myself. I might end up with a T Rex sometime though....

I have an Eflite Blade 400. Its a very complete set-up and easier to fly than the other Eflite Blades due to being able to set up expo in the radio. For me, that made it much easier.
I cant speak for other Hobby shops, but we carry all the parts for any repairs.
It doesnt get any easier than that.

A blade 400 is your best bet. Also time on Real flight will make a differance. Get with someone at your local feild for help.

I have had the blade CP & Helimax, but my Trex-450 is as good as it gets.
