The trottle linkage probably came off, or the battery came out. The main thing that happened was homes tried a flip too low.

That is a perfect example of the floppy chicken from the FG Dictionary. Textbook example.
It is common to have either the throttle linkage come off, become damaged, or the battery unplug in a crash.

His OUCH at the very end while trying to remove the canopy was most likely from pieces of a near molten clutch bell that exploded letting the engine rev free.
