I have not blinged my cp with a bunch of metal but.... The aerobatic enhancement kit and lipos are a no brainier . Next is the bell-hiller,remove the fly bar weights and switch out the rx so you can use a computer radio. the 4 in 1 is actually a esc/mixer/gyro with a separate rx. If you switch to a separate rx upgrading to a brushless is very easy. The problem is the lack of tail authority and heading hold gyro. Without addressing the tail the brushless setup is not really worth it as I am finding out. Outdoors the carbon blades will outlast the wood 3 to 1 in crashes. Crashes are not very expensive usually. Replacement parts to stock up on are main shafts, center hub an spindle set and landing gear. There are tons of upgrades but the tail is the weak link. Unless you switch to a hh gyro and dual tail motors, brushless tail motor, or belt drive I wouldn't buy the metal stuff. I think this thing is fun as all get out. I crashed mine 5 times today with the same parts. A stripped servo finally stopped me from huckin' it back in the air again. Just one ignorant mans opinion though.

I just knew I should have said something about, "don't tell me to get a T-Rexx or other heli" LOL However if someone posted the got X profile I may have posted should have done a Mojo, etc. etc. I fly airplanes, gonna play with the little heli. In the future, if I need more heli, I will look into whatever the best is at that time.

Carbon blades and the hiller head. Those two made the biggest difference for me. Then a direct drive tail. Then skip over the trex and go right for the raptor .90 |
