Is the ML Extra what Mark flew at the 2007 XFC?

Nope. That was the 300. The ML is a bit long for the 3d stuff.

HUMMM...... I believe after having about a 3-4 hour conversation today with my builder, i will be going with the 42% 260!!! I think that will be the best for me at this time and will be THE plane i get, now just have to wait a couple more weeks to get some extra cash and will order this thing and start the build in September probably.

You will love the 260! Great IMAC plane for any level of comp.

AWESOME GUYS!!! Thanks for all the advice! For sure it will be the DALTON EXTRA 260 in my hanger within a few months!! NOW that i have the plane out of the way, RADIO?? up for suggestions. I have flown both FUTABA and JR in the past and prefer the JR. What kinda setup would i be looking at this plane to do both IMAC and 3D well? how many servos in the tail? how many servos all around? and what do you guy's prefer on the whole setup on your 260? Thanks
Kyle

On my 260 I'm running 3 8611a's on each aileron, 2 on each elevator and 2 on the rudder in the tail.

On my ML300 I was running 2 8711's on each aileron, 1 on each elevator, and 2 on the rudder. I would go with this set up... much simpler and works great... also about 1 lb less gear in the plane.

Would that be enough torque on the surface's for extreme 3D? i mean the 8711 servos do have what like 340 oz torque? Just asking all the questions so i can start gathering up all the equipment i will run. Thanks

I have both the 260 and standard 300, well had the 300, and in my opinion the 300 flew better than my 260. Much less roll and pitch coupling with the 300. I know the wing was lowered about 3/8th" on the 300 and think Tony has incorparted this into the 260. The 300 has more side area with the longer canopy and requires less rudder for rollers and such. Both planes fly great but I definately prefer the 300 after having both and am in the process of converting my 260 to a 300.

Alrighty now on the 42% Extra 260, Would you rather have counter balanced elevators if your going to be flying both 3D and IMAC with it or just the standard non counter balanced elevators?

I would prefer no counter balances.

Thats going to be a big one for me to choose which one, i love the look of the counter balanced. But up for discussion.
