ITs one hard sequence. I don't know how you guys are going to fly it in the gym that they are going to use.

Are you really telling us you can only fly this one direction? I don't think we need another aresti for this, but I feel we should have a fligt direction option.

One more thing,

Shouldn't number ten have dashed lines and not solid lines? It seems to me that you exit out of number 9 inverted and you enter number 11 inverted. Just to clarify.

That is correct.
We'll get it fixed.

OK, here's the problem I'm running into (literally) with flying it as the aresti is drawn. The gym is small as is, but now we have to do a KE figure 8 the depth of the gym. And since it ends mid-box deep, this means that the flat square with opposite rolls will have basically no room before flying into the crowd or judges (better make it the crowd, they won't give you bad scores ) cause there isn't enough room. OK, this isn't true, there is enough room for this, but the KE 8??? Are you sure this is the way this is to be flown? Doing a Top Hat is no problem across half court (front to back) cause you don't have to make the top very long, but opposite rolls between a Square KE turn... I personally think it flowed better with the down Square with 3/4 roll.

Just to clarify the take-off, like Bert said, as drawn, does the take have to be a right turn first followed by a left turn? Or can they both be the same direction and make a big race track pattern instead of an "S" pattern? And we should have a choice in flight direction.

agreed! I just got back from flying this morning with the same problem. I'll go back out in a little bit to see what else can be done.

Glad to see that someone else is having the same problems and I just don't suck!

Ok,
I have not flown it but from looking at the aresti does this work for you guys..

The end of # 6 puts you at the back of the box.
The end of # 7 puts you mid box
#8 can be flown in half box width. (Mid box to front of the box)
# 9 is front of the box
# 10 goes from front of the box to the rear of the box giving you time for the opposing rolls.
# 11 starts and ends at the rear of the box
# 12 is as drawn

Thoughts?

The way wayne is going through it seems to make sense. I will do the torque roll off center to the right side. then do the half roll half square.

Do the roller to the outside and hopefully under the basketball net. Giving some time to set up for the 3/4 8.

Do the 3/4 8 and set up for top hat IN. enough time for rolls and snaps. then do the square out with rolls opposite.

Roller like normal, then landing in.

there is no other contest where you can only fly the sequence one direction, ive been practicing it the other way sence it came out... the judges are the judges from the TOC and this is the world championships, they should be able to handle it, im willing to bet that not all 25 pilots will read that and someone will inadvertantly showup having practiced the sequence the other direction....just a few thoughts...

Yea, I've actually been flying it fine, just not remembering it afterwards. The KE 8 is going to be tight, hopefully there is nothing under either side of the basketball nets. We'll need all the room we can get. Gonna be fun snapping under the hoop...lol. Wonder if we get 3 pts if we make it .

Wayne, take-off direction is optional? What about the turns, same direction or can they be opposite (small S or big race track?)

Bob has it written as an S pattern for the takeoff sequence.
