nope -not crowded - just a few guys on 72--who forget to check that anyone is still using that frequency.
I got lulled into that trap years ago on 53.xx. I was the "only one" using it --till I shot down another guy who also was the "only one" using it --
best bet - sh-t can any setup which has "one at a time" needs.
It may seem expensive till yo consider that the radio is one of the least expensive parts of your model.
Unless you bought something really high priced.

So Futaba has updated the website with newer 12FG pictures and the antenna is totally different, is it a photoshop job? There is the usual center with no antenna showing but it looks like the socket is still there and now there is an rubber-duck looking antenna on the left side...

I have been told here in the UK that we will only be getting the Futaba T7 and 12/14Z modules . That may upset the Jet Jocky`s who have 9Zs . I wonder why we are only getting these 2 modules ???????????

I was told that 2.4 was going to be outlawed in the UK for rc purposes because it has a hard time penetrating moisture, thus greatly reducing range. I wouldn't call this a reliable source but I'd be interested to find out if it's true.

Yes I have been told that the waterplane guys have stopped using 2.4 as the water is supposed to absorb the signal !

My understanding of the 2.4GHz question on the "other" side of the pond is that you guys are going to be limited to approximately 1/10th the power output that is being used in the USA...

Or at least that's what one of the JR tech guys from across the pond indicated on "another" forum.

The answer to that question isn't clear to me from reading the responses I've seen on other forums.

It sounds like there is an effort going forward to use them, but evidently there are some regulatory issues left to resolve. I got this last bit of info in regard to a question of whether or not the new JR 12X will be available in Europe in a 2.4GHz version.

You missed the gag --- .24 not 2.4
(.24 is 1/10 of 2.4)

I noticed that, but figured is was another typo.

The 2.4 ghz Tx`s here in the UK are limited to 100 milliwatt output . However I have herd that the Specktrum sets in the U.S. are working on 300-400 milliwatt , is this true ? France has a limit to 10 milliwatt . I also see that one of our well known hobby stores here in the the UK are getting their Specktrum stuff from Horizon with the U.S. FCC mark on it and not the European CE mark on it .If this was the case then the operator would be liable in the event of a law suit .
