This is about the Futaba 2.4 GHz FASST system but I need to explain the problem. I now use a Futaba 6EXAP radio system. I have a split elevator setup, Both servos have the horn towards the motor. I also am useing a Smartfly power expander. To have the servos work correctly I had to mix with my transmiter. The catch is, I had to use channel 2 ( elevator ) and 6 ( flaps ) for the mix. This all worked fine except that the flap knob will still rotate the one elevator half. So as long as the knob isn't moved all should be fine, but if the knob gets bumped when in fly it could be trouble. Well today I call Futaba and they said that all I can do, that I am at the limit of the radio. So what I have is what I have. Now about the FASST system. The system looks just like the 6EXAP. Reading the features, such as the mixing, model memory, dual rates, end points, etc etc. The features are the same as the 6EXAP system. So, is this a 2.4ghz 6EXAP system? Since it is a 6 channel system, will the same problem happen when mixing the channels ( elevator & flaps )? Just wondering if any of you guys would know about this, or even a solution to fixing my radio problem. I am just going to cover the knob up so that it can't be turned after I set it. I may call Futaba tomorrow and see what they have to say about the FASST. |

Yup, it's the same, I've read a thread where a GP rep specifically said that it doesn't support dual elevator servos except the way you did it, and then it has the same limitations.

I am using the Pmix channel 2 with 6, 2 as the master and 6 as the slave. If you do 6 as the master and 6 as the slave the knob still didn't turn off, and the elevator stick didn't move the one side of the elevator, since channel 2 isn't being mixed in at all now. Only the one side moves that is plugged into channel 2. The servo for 6 didn't even move. | ||||||||||||||||||
