Default Xtreme Link Experiences

Since the Xtreme Link System was released this weekend, I was hoping to create a thread for all to participate in its installation as well as any progress reports on the newly released units and technology.

Let get the ins and outs down for everyone to see.

Mine is installed, binded, failsafe set in a 35% AW Extra 260 QB with 3W106 JR10X radio with 8411/8611a's.

Just waiting for a day off work to fly it.

Conradical and I spent a good amount of time at the XPS table trying to get all the information we could out of them, before they wanted to kill us. I'm not entirely sure of this 2.4GHz stuff yet, so if i get any of systems out there, it will only go in smaller stuff, like 50cc and under. They made it sound really good though.

I asked 'my' question, range. Answer: 5 miles. much different then the "line of sight" mentioned by the other systems.

We'll see

Yes, drilled them for awhile I didn't ask them about line of sight, but it should be no different than any other 2.4 ghz system. It's still the same short wavelength which has more difficult passing thru objects than something like 72mhz. Shouldn't be a problem still -it's not like we're putting this in a concrete plane

XPS guys are flying home today! Then a day or so to fix there sever or maybe a redirect. I have heard they have 35K units that need to be assembled. As soon as the site is up you will be able to order and they will ship as they are completed. I hear they have been putting in some crazy hours at the shop.

They should sell it as a kit! I'll put it together myself! LOL
