Hiya Crew!

The 2.4 thing is going absolutely NUTS right now, as it has all year! Personally, as a member of FlyingGiants, I am a big fan of the techonlogy as it is something we modelers need, and probably the biggest technological hobby advancement that we've seen in many years. Technologies this new are always viewed with speculation, but there's some great stuff on the shelf right now that the vast majority are enjoying.

At this point, there's a bunch of people flying products from varying vendors, and I thought it would be appropriate to hear your success stories, show us your setups in whatever you're flying - heli's, foamies, and planks of all sizes, and share your thoughts. I know there's alot of positive stuff going on right now with 2.4.

Photos and thoughts folks! Let's see 'em!

Best -- MD

Been flying my Xtremelink JR module and 10 channel receiver in my Turbine F16 since Toledo with no problems. I have 8 uneventful flights on it now. Pretty cool stuff!

I put the new Futaba 6EX 2.4 system in my 12' Cub that has a 3W-75 hanging off of it (my test bed). I have since flown dozens of shake down flights, trying to block the receiver with the engine and fuel tank but I have not had any lockouts at all. It has performed flawlessly with all the range I am used to having.

I should be receiving a Futaba 6EX today that I will start experimenting with in an FJ Extra 330. Lots of interesting reports out there regarding the different flavors of 2.4...i'm anxious to see how it goes.

Tested my DX7 a few months back in an OMP Fusion/YS110...flew aswome. After the system proved itself to me in the Fusion I went ahead and Spektrumized my 40% Carden 330 with dual RX's. I now have about 10 flights on the Carden/DX7 and love it!!

I will be recieving a Daton 300 from Tony Russo here in a few weeks and the DX7 will be going in that as well...only until I can get my hands on a the 12X!!

I do have a question though while we are on the topic. The Dalton will have full length Greeves pipes. Anyone know if I should be concerned about mounting the RX's over the pipe tunnel? I plan to mount the satelite RX's in the turtle deck (with the longer extensions) well behind the pipe exits.

Hi all,

Been flying my 37.5% yak from SD with DX7 for 2 month now.
more than 30 flights without a glitch (touch wood)
I will post some pics of the setup with the Powerbox (no problems at all) and the second plane I am now assembling with the AR7000 + SmartFly EQ10.

The confidence it gives you is unbelievable . I am just waiting for the Spketrum modules to come out to convert my Xp9303 and 10X.

2.4 is also growing fast here as well and we are all witing for the modules.

Pics now.

Cheers,
Zivo

I like this thread. With all the negativity surrounding 2.4 lately, it's easy to forget how many people are flying it and have had great luck. Keep the stories and pics coming....especially large gas applications.

I ran a DX7 for a weekend in my 35% Extra, EVO 80cc and power expander. It had to be the most locked in experience I have had in a long time. Put 10 flights in over two days and not even a sign of a glitch or mushy controls.

100% perfect so far and I only see it getting better with time.

I love the DX7. I've switched everything I own over to it. The biggest being a 2.6m X-Treme Composites Edge with a DA100. I've probably put 30 flights through it with the DX, and they have all been flawless.
