| I've Gone Yak! Will I go BACK? ![]() |
Yesterday I flew a 42% Aeroworks Extra 260 QB on 2.4 technology and all I got to say is WOW. The plane flew great and with the 2.4 it made it fly even better! On inputs on a rollin harrier everything was precise. Right now though I am looking into different products and trying to figure out how I am going 2.4. It probably wont be till this Christmas though. I am not going to get a module due to my 9C Futaba is already 3-4 years old. Time for a new radio!!! Might look into Futabas 12 FG 2.4. Good, Bad, or what is your opinion.

Im buying the JR 12X when it comes out. I think with spektrum, JR offers better overall package, and a wider range of products. Every receiver will operate with a every tx. Besides, the spektrum and JR are compatable with each other....my opinion. Welcome to the dark side. There are several little things you should know. Go to the power systems section and read. |

I recently purchased a JR 9303 2.4 Tx... Switched all my airplanes over after some initial testing on smaller birds... I now fly everything from small electrics, to profiles, to 40%er's on it and will never switch back... If the 2.4 12X has superior features to the 9303, I'll probably get one... If not, I'm set for a while... The best parts of 2.4 are NO FREQUENCY CONTROL, not getting shot down by some yahoo in the pits, having a more "locked in" feel with all my airplanes, plus a 3 year warranty...

PALE, I am flying the module on my super 8 radio. EXXXXXCCELLLENNNTTT!! Its is faster. lovin it. I actually went back and used my old prgrams that I used before going DX7. and its the best for teaching, the old trusty super 8 has some good buddy box programming. We were flying when others were walking the line asking.....who has pin 32???? |

Sherman, the 2700 nickle battery is a high impedence pack, be careful using them with a digital receiver. dewalt packs are 80 bucks per these days. thats 9 bucks per cell or 18 bucks per pack. good enough for me. I would switch now. I am very leery of those 2700 packs in anything but a small plane or a transmitter. they are not made for high current rates. Just my opinion my friend.....good luck, sounds like a nice setup. |
