Keith,

Bowing to the wowsers is only going to allow them feel they have defeated you. Mate on behalf of the 22,000 members of FG please forget the five or six wankers who dribble over the key board without an ounce of effort ever going into helping others understand and maybe find a better way or just maybe help a manufacturer improve the quality of a product or maybe just get it off the market as its a bad product.

Spektrum had issues that were solved by users who spent a lot of time and money of there own to help get a system close to bullet proof.

FASST will have issues for sure, just wait and see but no one is going to raise the flag on the other smaller manufacturers entering the 2.4 arena right now unless guys like you can help us.

As I said above there are always those prepared to do nothing other than insult or bitch and moan. They are the minority and you need to forget them. They are like ar$eholes. Everyone has one but we dont like to show them off.

Mate on behalf of the 22,000 members who want to know, do this in your own time and feel proud to show what you can learn. I for one want to know as I do not see the 2.4 Ghz thing as being the panacea for RC. In fact I see quiet the reverse if its not carefully managed and challenged by the users themselves.

Keith,

All I'm asking in your test, which will cost you no more than 5 minutes, is to do the same thing with a Spektrum / FAAST system. You could at least give us that.

Hey Keith,
Man, I understand how you feel. However, there are many here that do appreciate your efforts. Remember, this is just a hobby, and it is in everyone's best interest to share with our fellow enthusiast what we learn. For some reason, people tend to get personal when discussing technical issues. I don't understand why, I don't have a dog in this hunt, I just want the best system I can find. I have an XPS system for my JR-9303, so far it has been perfect on the mid sized electrics I have been flying it on. I have had a DX-6 for over a year and it too has been great on my foamies, and small electrics. I got a JR-X9303 for Xmas, and would really like to use it in my 35% and 45% planes. Right now I'm flying the big stuff on a JR-9303 pcm. The work you are planning to do will be very helpful to me and I'm sure others. Don't take the bait, continue with the project.

XJet,
Sorry for asking too soon (post #168). All I wanted was to know if you have some updates and never thought it would come out this way. I guess a few people here just take every opportunity to find the negative side. Honestly, I had learned a lot about 2.4GHz technology from just reading your posts (here and in other forums).

Anyway, I still hope that you or Kiwi will be able to perform this independent test for most 2.4GHz in the market today.

Thanks,
^R^

I got 50 great flights on my XPS! I had lock out on my XPS when my ignition coil went out suddenly in mid air on my 42% J-tec Extra. It fell strait down for a few hundred feet doing this flop thing like something you ran oner in the road and recovered just before smashing in to a house.DA replaced my 4 year old ignition for free.THANK YOU DA!XJet's tests on 2.4 make sense .I am going to try out Futaba 2.4 now.I would not trust XPS in another plane of mine.Thats just my 2 cents.

Wow. This thing tanked huh ? Xjet I had to re-read the first couple pages to see if I missed something the first time through. I did not. No reason for those guys to jump on you and demand your data NOW. You brought something to light, honestly to the best of your knowledge and mentioned that you were planning to do an in depth test to exactly what the system is doing. I was grateful for just your first post. I learned a lot about how the various systems were intending to operate, before I had assumed they were all the same.
I don't blame you for getting pissed. I will still keep checking back to see if you decide to continue.

XJet

I hope you have a beer and reconsider. Kiwi is right, there are many like me who read and wait quietly.

I look forward to your results.
