Independent tests prove lack of frequency hopping with XPS

I have an extra Futaba TX, but only two RX's until my order comes in. I would gladly put the TX to the test in your hands if someone has an RX to loan. Well, I COULD supply a flight-tested 8 CH RX, unless you already have access to one......

Fist off I would like to add that I have had 50 great flights on my XPS.The 40% J-tec recovered from lockout just before smashing through the roof of a house.I got it landed smoothly.I parked it and ran the motor up (DA 150). This could explain why I had lock out when the coil in the ignition went out.Even if the module was working properly I still don't think it would withstand the racket that the bad ignition was throwing at it.By the way DA sent me a new ignition for free even though the old one was 4 years old. Just keep in mind that XPS is NOT immune to interference.

Wow! Glad it came out okay. i have read about issues with the coax in the TX module. Is that the coax you are talking about?

I have a JR module and two 10 channel RX's I will loan out. If you only want the two RX (I think they work with any TX), I can send just the two RX. Just let me know where to send. I would love to see the tests. This 2.4 stuff is fascinating!

Alright !!. This thread is for real gonna go where it was intended,(I think).I am starting over and am so very interested in the 2.4 stuff because I have been shot down from an experienced modeler even after I asked him if they were OFF and can I use the channel. Unfortunately they were working on a new plane maidened minutes before and guess what ? Just me and him at the field. I have a JR 783 and I don't even know at this point if I can get a module for it but I was looking hard at more channels anyway, the 9303 being my only choice for that. After that day if someone was on my channel I can't take their word for it I have to practically hold their Tx in my hand. Nothing personal.
Having said all that, I think 2.4 as promised is the greatest thing since presliced bread. I visited a new club I was thinking about joining once in KY and a guy got his 60 size heli shot down in the one hour I was there and frankly I can no longer afford that. So please let's get the tests !
