I am just recalling my days as an RTO. We used FH in our ASIP radios. Program comsec in the radios you want to talk to and nothing will interfere. Radios not on comsec even on FH cant even talk. Probably not allowed to talk about all that but it worked well on those FM radios.

Just thinking about it I wonder why there has been nothing similar for RC? Heck with your own unique ID on a frequency hopping scheme I doubt you would EVER be shot down.

Well the other option is to use a dual link, one link on 2.4 and one link on FM. Sounds impossible??? Its already on the market

http://www.acteurope.de/html/s3d-maxx.html

The benefit would be that you can now go to the field and have double the amount of comments about why your link will fail !!!!!! LOL

Seriously though, this does look interesting, am consideirng it for my setup. These guys also had a dual band transmitter module, that would allow you to transmit on 72 and 50 (for example) at the same time.

Forget all those fancy 2.4ghz or FM systems. I will just use a really long wire. A control line 40%

Guys,

To keep you all in the loop.

I was working yesterday on the new XPS tests and my Scanner receiver took a serious dump. I think its smoked and will have a new one on the way Monday. Looks like I fried it when I unplugged the external power supply to my laptop. No idea why thats irrelevant.

Sorry for the delay guys, I was set to sew this up this weekend but Murphy came visiting by the looks of it.

Here's a shot of the systems I have available now and the Spektrum DX7 is due Tuesday.

Yeah but I've got a snot-load of other work done around here -- and that's what pays the bills!

Stay tuned -- don't change frequencies :-)
