XJet now has my TX RX module's for testing interesting to see the outcome. I lost my comp-arf Yak. This is what I know The RX had 6volts all the way to the ground Data logger recording from spare RX port (eagle tree) 23 sec from lockout to impact (engine to idle, Engine stopped on impact, logged RPM) All servos to fail-safe (engine back to idle, slight right aileron, slight up elevator) Plane less than 70 feet from me holding radio above my head to try and get signal back. JR/Graupner MX22 11v fresh charged battery first flight of the day, new field. Previously had 30-40 flights at another field, all worked perfect. Spectrum had flown twice before me and again after me 2 different DX7 radios. Just my experience. Loza PS XJet did you get the XPS i sent?

. Kris, Don't base your decision to go 2.4 solely on the XPS system. Both JR and Futaba 2.4G systems were designed, tested, and fielded by teams of professional engineers backed by companies with the capital, experience, and resources to do the job right. . . What you are seeing now is the modelling public's unwitting participation in the XPS development story. . . (Fanboys can begin ranting now. . . . )

I lost my WH Sukhoi on it's 7th flight because of XPS. I was just doing a go-around and made a gentle turn and the system went in to lockout. It took the airplane a few seconds before it impacted the ground and I just had to sit there and watch it. I'm in graduate school so hearing this is not cool since it's lack of frequency hopping basically doomed my airplane. I sold the unit after that crash and went back to 72mhZ, but if it was so fail-proof, I'd still have the airplane.

Just one. . I have 14 JR 72mhz PCM receivers from 7-10 channels. . 6 of which are synthesized. 3 need realignment, I'll do that next month. Amazingly, the 7 channel 790's seem to work better than the 2000's, and certainly better than any of my crystal receivers. $90 each, and totally dependable. Again .. ONE reason to switch.

Seems the gist of this thread seems to say lots of people are getting shot down (I believe any loss of frequency is a "shoot down")

Even frequency hopping 2.4 can get shot down under the proper circumstances.
